    Answer

This product is sold as 250 mg or 50 mg.

It is sold in a solid form and therefore needs to be dissolved. We recommend dissolving in DMSO.

Depending on what you are going to be using this product in, this will dictate what stock concentration you wish to make therefore I cannot tell you how much volume to add as I do not know what stock solution is needed for your experiment.

We state that this product is "Soluble in DMSO to 50 mM". This means that the most concentrated stock solution you can make of this product in DMSO is 50 mM. If you try to make the solution more concentrated, Ganciclover simply will not dissolve anymore in DMSO.

For example if you wanted to dissolve 50 mg in DMSO to make 50 mM, you would need to add 3918 µl of DMSO. (This is based on a molecular weight of 255.23 which will differ depending on what batch you get so will need to be recalculated.)

Depending on the batch you receive, the molecular weight of the product indicated will vary slightly depending on the number of water molecules attached. Please check the CoA of your particular batch. This document is readily downloadable from the datasheet on our website.
