ab96379 staining MEK1 (phospho S298) in SK-N-SH cells treated with NBQX disodium salt (ab120046), by ICC/IF. Decrease in MEK1 (phospho S298) expression correlates with increased concentration of NBQX disodium salt, as described in literature.
The cells were incubated at 37°C for 24h in media containing different concentrations of ab120046 (NBQX disodium salt) in DMSO, fixed with 4% formaldehyde for 10 minutes at room temperature and blocked with PBS containing 10% goat serum, 0.3 M glycine, 1% BSA and 0.1% tween for 2h at room temperature. Staining of the treated cells with ab96379 (1/100 dilution) was performed overnight at 4°C in PBS containing 1% BSA and 0.1% tween. A DyLight 488 goat anti-rabbit polyclonal antibody (ab96899) at 1/250 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.

NBQX disodium salt

Excellent
Abreviews
Abreviews
NBQX disodium salt (ab120046) is easily dissolved in 0.9% saline. Used it for in vivo experiments testing the role of AMPA receptor blockade in mediating stress susceptibility. The initial results look promising.

Question

I have received a batch of 50 mg NBQX disodium salt (ab120046). The MW indicated on the bottle is 434.29. However on your website the MW is 380.24.
Which one should I consider?

Thank you,

Question

Hi,
I am enquiring to see whether NBQX can be dissolved and stored in H2O?
As on the info that came with the packaging, under the product constituents
and storage it states it is soluble in water to 100mM. However, at the end
of the info sheets, in the certificate of analysis section it states it is
soluble in DMSO to 100mM. I do see that you also sell a water-soluble form,
however I'm a little confused to whether the NBQX that I am enquiring about
is also soluble in water?
If you could clear this up that would be great.

Answer

Thank you for contacting us.

I have checked with the lab, and we can confirm that this compound NBQX ab120045 is not soluble in water and is actually only soluble in DMSO to 100 mM.Thiswas a mistake in our database which has now been updated.

If you require the water soluble form of NBXQ we would recommend ab120046.

We sincerely apologize for this mistake and any inconvenience this might have caused. We thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further questions in this regard.
