Overview

  • Product name

    Mesenchymal Stromal Cell Marker (CD44, CD45, CD90 CD29, CD105) Antibody Panel - Human
  • Product overview

Mesenchymal Stromal Cell Marker (CD44, CD45, CD90 CD29, CD105) Antibody Panel ab93758 contains multiple trial-sized versions of clones against key human mesenchymal stromal cell markers, and includes a CD44 mouse monoclonal, CD45 rabbit polyclonal, CD90 mouse monoclonal, CD29 rabbit monoclonal and CD105 mouse monoclonal antibody.

For guidelines on how to use each antibody within the panel, please consult the individual datasheet for each antibody.

    Panel contains:

    Anti-CD44 antibody [F10-44-2] (ab6124)

Anti-CD45 antibody - Hematopoietic Stem Cell Marker (ab10559)

    Anti-CD90 / Thy1 antibody [AF-9] (ab23894)

    Anti-CD105 antibody [105C02] (ab44967)

    Recombinant Anti-Integrin beta 1 antibody [EP1041Y] (ab52971)

The Human Multipotent Mesenchymal Stromal Cell Marker Antibody Panel is designed for the characterization of cultured or isolated human multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells. The panel contains a group of antibodies for the positive (CD105, CD29, CD44, CD90) and negative (CD45) selection of this lineage. Multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) represent a heterogeneous subset of stromal cells. They can be bone marrow-derived or isolated from many other different adult tissues including periosteum, trabecular bone, adipose tissue, and synovium. They exhibit the potential to give rise to cells of diverse lineages including adipocytes, chondrocytes and osteocytes.

Answer

Thank you for contacting Abcam.
Earlier today we discussed the Human Mesenchymal Stromal Cell Marker panel ab93758. Based on the information on the datasheet, I compiled the following information for you:
1. Positive selection (CD105, CD29, CD44, CD90)
2. Negative selection (CD45)
The stem cell panel ab93758 consists of 5 unconjugated primary antibodies. These antibodies can be used with the secondary antibodies against mouse or rabbit of your choice. You can therefore adapt the fluorochrome choice to the ability of your machine.
I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.

Question

Hi,
a customer of ours is interested in your ab93758. She has co-coltures of stromal mesenchymal stem cellsand T lymphocytes isolated from bone.
She would like to detect only stromal mesenchymal stem, but not T lymphocytes. Can you please let me know if among the markers (CD44, CD45, CD90 CD29 and CD105) included within ab93758, there is some marker able to detect also T lymphocytes?

Thanks in advance and kind regards

Thank you for your inquiry.
The stem cell panel ab93758 consists of 5 unconjugated primary antibodies. These antibodies can be used with the secondary antibodies against mouse or rabbit of your choice. You can therefore adapt the fluorochrome choice to the ability of your machine.
The answer is therefore yes, you can use these primary antibodies on the an old FACS machine, if you have the adapted secondary antibodies in your laboratory.
I hope this answer is helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact us again, should you need any additional information.

Asked on Apr 23 2012

Answer

Thank you for your inquiry.

Our Mesenchymal Stromal Cell Marker Panels (human: ab93758, mouse: ab93759) consist of five un-conjugated primary antibodies that can be used to characterise mesenchymal stromal cells.

The antibodies are not conjugated and therefore require a secondary antibody with a fluorochrome.

You can choose these fluorochromes according to the FACScan system. Please contact the originator of the FACScan to ask which fluorochromes are suitable/possible to use.

I hope this information is helpful and wish you good luck with your research.
