Defects in AGXT are the cause of hyperoxaluria primary type 1 (HP1) [MIM:259900]; also known as primary hyperoxaluria type I (PH1) and oxalosis I. HP1 is a rare autosomal recessive inborn error of glyoxylate metabolism characterized by increased excretion of oxalate and glycolate, and the progressive accumulation of insoluble calcium oxalate in the kidney and urinary tract. -

Immunoprecipitation - Anti-AGXT antibody [1F9BC7] (ab110313)Using MitoSciences' standard immunoprecipitation protocol, ab110313 precipicates with the 43kDa AGXT protein in human liver samples. Very small amounts of AGXT are immunoprecipitated from bovine heart, rat liver or human HepG2 cultured cell lysate. Identity of this protein was confirmed by mass spectrometry. This gel was stained with silver.
