Target
-
Function
Receptor for adenosine. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase. -
Sequence similarities
Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. -
Domain
The cytoplasmic C-terminal domain is necessary for targeting the non-ubiquitinated form of this protein to the cell surface. -
Post-translational
modificationsUbiquitinated. Deubiquitinated by USP4; leading to stabilization and expression at the cell surface. -
Cellular localization
Cell membrane. - Information by UniProt

Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse cerebrum tissue labeling Adenosine Receptor A2a with ab308533 at 1/100 dilution (5.0 ug/ml).
Positive staining on mouse cerebrum.
The section was incubated with ab308533 at 4°C overnight (shown in red). Nuclear DNA was labelled with DAPI (shown in blue). The section was then mounted using Fluoromount®. Image was taken with a confocal microscope (Leica-Microsystems, TCS SP8).
Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed using ab93684 (Tris/EDTA buffer, pH 9.0). -
