Relevance
HSP17.6 belongs to the class I family of small heat shock proteins. Small Hsps are induced when plant cells are stressed by increased temperature and appear to be involved in chaperone functions by protecting other proteins from irreversible denaturation. They are produced late in the seed maturation process. -
