      Question

Two quick questions regarding this antibody. First, is this antibody directed against the same epitope that Sellitto and Kuriyama used in their 1988 paper? I'm assuming that since that original paper was in 1988, there is no way for this to be the same antibody, but a new polyclonal directed against the same epitope. Two, do you a current list of other labs who have published peer-reviewed work using this antibody.

      Answer

All the infomraiton we have for ab9259 is on the online datasheet accessible via www.abcam.com. Sellitto and Kuriyama (1988) worked with a monoclonal antibody. This rabbit polyclonal antibody was raised agianst a synthetic peptide, which represented a portion within the first 100 amino acids of the human Mitotic Kinesin-Like Protein-1 (GenBank PID 400264), conjugated to KLH.
