Target

  • Function

Accessory subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), that is believed not to be involved in catalysis. Complex I functions in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone.
  • Sequence similarities

Belongs to the complex I NDUFB6 subunit family.
  • Cellular localization

    Mitochondrion inner membrane.
  • Target information above from: UniProt accession O95139 The UniProt Consortium
The Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) in 2010

Overlay histogram showing HepG2 cells stained with ab110244 (red line). The cells were fixed with 80% methanol (5 min) and then permeabilized with 0.1% PBS-Tween for 20 min. The cells were then incubated in 1x PBS / 10% normal goat serum / 0.3M glycine to block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody (ab110244, 1µg/1x106 cells) for 30 min at 22ºC. The secondary antibody used was DyLight® 488 goat anti-mouse IgG (H+L) (ab96879) at 1/500 dilution for 30 min at 22ºC. Isotype control antibody (black line) was mouse IgG2b [PLPV219] (ab91366, 2µg/1x106 cells) used under the same conditions. Acquisition of >5,000 events was performed.

Answer

Thank you for your enquiry.

I can confirm that the following antibodies are produced in our Mitosciences laboratories:

ab14713
ab110244
ab14715
ab14745
ab14705

These have been tested in blue native gel. These antibodies are also frequently referenced in the literature for Blue Native. An example is a paper attached showing these in BNPAGE.

The other antibody, ab55521 has not been tested in blue native gel. We do produce many products in house, but also source many externally. Therefore all our antibodieswill have been tested in different ways. Therefore, if an antibody has been tested in western blot, this does not mean it has also been tested in blue native gel. In this case, if you have the same question regarding any of our other antibodies, please do not hesitate to contact us again and we will be happy to confirm the information for you.

I hope this will be helpful to you. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.
