    Answer

Thank you for contacting us and your interest in our products.

I have looked into the three antibodies we have directed against S100A4 and whether they are likely to work when used in a sandwich ELISA. We have the following antibodies directed against S100A4 which have been used in ELISA previously:

    Mouse monoclonal to S100A4 (ab93283)

    Mouse monoclonal [NJ4F3] to S100A4 (ab68124)

    Goat polyclonal to S100A4 (ab115699)

Of these, only ab93283 has been used with mouse samples previously. However, as the immunogens used to raise ab68124 and ab115699 shares high homology with the mouse protein we would expect them to cross react. As we have not tested it ourselves we would however not be able to guarantee this.

None of the antibodies have been used as a pair in sandwich ELISA before and we would therefore not be able to guarantee that they would work together. The two mouse monoclonal antibodies are raised against immunogens which cover most of the protein length, including the region used to produce the goat polyclonal. Theoretically, the antibodies could therefore bind the same region and not be compatible. However, as we have not tested it, we would not be able to say.

If you would like to test ab93283 and ab115699 as a pair in a sandwich ELISA you would be eligable for a testing discount. This offer means that if you purchaseab93283 and ab115699 as normal, test the antibodies with yourmouse samples in ELISA and let us know of the results through an Abreview (no matter whether positive or negative) you would be eligible for a free primary antibody of your choice from our catalogue (or the equivalent price ofab93283or ab115699 off any product). More information on this offer can be found here:

    www.abcam.com/collaborationdiscount

Please note that the antibody to be tested must be purchased, tested, the Abreview submitted and the free product claimed within a 4 month period.

If you would be interested in participating in this scheme please do let me know as a discount code needs to be issued prior to the purchase of ab93283 and ab115699.

I hope this information has been of help. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us again.
