    Application
    Western blot

Review text: We recently started using Abcam's CBR3 recombinant protein to confirm the activity of CBR3 primary antibodies. Additionally, we have successfully used this human protein to create standard curves (image included) for quantitative analysis of protein amounts in human liver tissue lysates.
Sample: Human Recombinant protein (Recombinant protein)
    Loading amount: 0.03 µg
    Specification: Recombinant protein
Gel Running Conditions: Non-reduced Denaturing (12% Gel)
    Blocking step: Milk as blocking agent for 1 hour(s) and 0 minute(s) · Concentration: 5% · Temperature: 25°C

    Other product details
    Dilution: 1/30
    Incubation time: 1 hour(s) and 0 minute(s) · Temperature: 25°C · Diluent: PBS-tween (0.05%)

Primary antibody (in addition to 'CBR3 protein (His tag)')
Name: Non-Abcam antibody was used: Carbonyl reductase 3 (C-16)
    Host species: Rabbit
    Clonality: Polyclonal
    Conjugation: Horse Radish Peroxidase
    Dilution: 1/1000

    Secondary antibody
Name: Non-Abcam antibody was used: Anti-Goat IgG (whole molecule)
    Host species: Rabbit
    Clonality: Polyclonal
    Conjugation: Horse Radish Peroxidase
    Dilution: 1/10000

    Detection
    Detection method: ECL
    Exposure: 1 minute(s) and 0 second(s)
    Bands: Specific: 30 kDa
Positive control: No positive control was necessary given that the recombinant CBR3 protein comprised our protein of interest.

    Additional data
Additional Notes: Nitrocellulose membranes were used in our WB. The image of the standard curve shows the CBR3 recombinant protein in increasing amounts from left to right (0.03, 0.07, and 0.10 ug) and a protein ladder on the far right as detected using the conditions outlined above.
