    This product is manufactured by BioVision, an Abcam company and was previously called 1014 Annexin V-PE Reagent.

    Annexin V/ANXA5-PE Apoptosis Detection Reagent ab14154 can be used in a 10 min, one-step staining procedure to detect apoptosis by staining phosphatidylserine molecules which have translocated to the outside of the cell membrane. Analysis is by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy.

    This Annexin V/ANXA5-PE reagent can be used with Annexin V/ANXA5 binding buffer ab14084 (see protocol section for instructions). The Annexin V/ANXA5-PE reagent is also available as part of Annexin V-PE apoptosis kit ab14155.

I purchased from you some Annexin V-PE apoptosis detection reagent Cat. No. ab14154. I and a colleague have attempted to use this on two different types of cell lines using Flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy all of which proved unsuccessful. We think there is something wrong with this vial of product, would it be possible to send another vial of this reagent?

How long after using the kit can I store the samples at 4 degrees before I run the FACS? Can I stain with DAPI at the same time?

Thank you for your enquiry. You may keep the cells on ice for up to 30 minutes. We have not tried DAPI, but theoretically, cells can be stained with other dyes if no cell permeabilization is required. I hope this information helps. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need anything further.
