    Has activity against the synthetic substrates Boc-Phe-Ser-Arg-Mec, Boc-Leu-Thr-Arg-Mec, Boc-Gln-Ala-Arg-Mec and Boc-Val-Pro-Arg-Mec. The single-chain form is more active than the two-chain form against all of these substrates.

    Defects in PRSS1 are a cause of hereditary pancreatitis (HPC) [MIM:167800]; also known as chronic pancreatitis (CP). HPC is an autosomal dominant disease characterized by the presence of calculi in pancreatic ducts. It causes severe abdominal pain attacks.

    Trypsin 1, encoded by the PRSS1 gene, is synthesized in the pancreas. The expression profile observed is consistent with what has been described in the literatures (PMID: 3011602, 7945238, 24722290).

  • Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Human pancreas tissue labeling PRSS1 with ab200996 at 1/8000 dilution, followed by Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) (ab97051) at 1/500 dilution. Cytoplasm staining on acinar cells Human pancreas is observed. Counter stained with Hematoxylin.

    Secondary antibody only control: Used PBS instead of primary antibody, secondary antibody is Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) (ab97051) at 1/500 dilution.

    Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH 9.0 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.

  • Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Human kidney tissue labeling PRSS1 with ab200996 at 1/8000 dilution, followed by Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) (ab97051) at 1/500 dilution. Negative staining on Human kidney. Counter stained with Hematoxylin.
