    why is the actual band size different from the predicted?

    Recombinant PTP phosphatase domains (0.1µg of protein) were probed with ab13225 at 1/1000.  The antibody recognises the recombinant PTP kappa fusion protein at ~65 kDa. Ladder sizes are in kilodaltons.

I have been informed that this product is tested using recombinant PTP phosphatase domains. The expected size for these recombinant peptides is around ˜65kDa. We have not tested this in endogenous systems however it is expected that PTPk targets will be around 160 kDa.

This is a polyclonal antibody so it binds to different epitopes. Thus for polyclonal antibodies epitope mapping is usually not carried out.

I can confirm that ab13225 has only been tested on Western blot application. Currently, we do not have any information if ab13225 recognizes the native form of the protein or only the denatured form.
