Answer

Thank you for your reply. I am sending the full details of the program below, and please let me know if you have any questions.

Since ab115776 has not been tested for cross-reactivity with RAP1B,I can offer a discount off a future purchase if you buy ab115776 now, test it, and submit feedback to us in the form of an Abreview. It doesn’t matter whether the Abreview is positive or negative, we would just really like to receive your feedback. The discount would be worth one free primary antibody.

If you would like to participate in this program, please follow these steps:

1. Reply to this e-mail to let me know that you would like to proceed and test ab115776 in for cross-reactivity to RAP1B. I will then send a discount code.

2. Purchase ab115776 either by phone, fax, or online (www.abcam.com).

3. Test it.

4. Let us know the results, positive or negative, using our Abreview system (this will take about 10 minutes and images are great if you have them!). To find out how to submit an Abreview, please visit: https://www.abcam.com/abreviews.

Answer

Thank you for your reply.

We only have the full size vials, so unfortunately we don't have a sample to send out. We do have a testing discount program, in which you could purchase the antibody, test it against RAP1B, and provide us the results through our online review system. In exchange we would provide you with one free primary antibody on a future purchase. Would you be interested in this program? I'd be happy to send more information if you would like.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Question
Answer

Thank you for your call last week and for your patience while I've been in touch with the lab regarding ab115776.

The immunogen of this antibody is 82% identical to the RAP1B protein, and there are about 20 continuous amino acids that overlap, so it is likely that the antibody will have some cross-reactivity to RAP1B. We can not be sure until this is tested, however.

I hope this information will be useful, but please let me know if you have any further questions or if there is anything else that we can do for you, and I'll be happy to help.

Answer

Thank you for contacting us.

We currently do not carry lysates of cell lines that have been transfected with Rap1. We do however have the recombinant full length mature Human RAP1A (amino acids 1-181). This product contains an N terminal His tag; is 201aa in lenghth with a molecular weight of 22.8kDa. (UniProt ID = P62834).In the absence of the transfected cell line this product would provide an excellent alternative positive control. This product may be found at the following link:

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.
