How do these antibodies differ, ab118491 and ab190097?
Asked on Nov 19 2014
Thank you for your interest in these two rapsyn antibodies. They differ insofar as they are raised against different amino acid sequences from the C terminus of human rapsyn. Both are expected to react with murine rapsyn based on homology of the immunogen sequences with murine rapsyn but have not been tested against mouse samples.
The ab118491 IHC data from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded human skeletal muscle was better than the ab190097 data from the same tissue and protocol, according to a pathologist who examined the slides.
