    This protein can be used for fusion protein cleavage. The rare 5 amino acid recognition sequence of the enterokinase cleavage site is incorporated into a tag with the sequence: N-Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys-C Cleavage by enterokinase removes the tag from the fusion protein.

    Responsible for initiating activation of pancreatic proteolytic proenzymes (trypsin, chymotrypsin and carboxypeptidase A). It catalyzes the conversion of trypsinogen to trypsin which in turn activates other proenzymes including chymotrypsinogen, procarboxypeptidases, and proelastases.

The enterokinase ab60893 is the recombinant protein from bovine intestine (based on the sequence SwissProt ID P98072, http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P98072).

ab68332 on the other hand is the recombinant human enterokinase (SwissProt ID P98073, http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P98073).

Both enzymes have been tested and are guaranteed to work in functional studies as stated on the datasheet.
