Question

Inquiry: Dear Sir or Madam, I ordered CMV pp150 from your company. Now I have 2 questions and would be happy for an answer. What is the molecular wight of pp150? Do you know the extinction coefficient of pp150? Thank you very much. best regards
PS: I already aliquote the vial and don´t know the lot number.

Answer

Thank you for your inquiry.

I can confirm that the calculated molecular weight of Cytomegalovirus pp150is 112kDa.

This protein is also glycosylated and then approximately 150kda big.
Historically, proteins got named after the molecular weight they would show on a WB.

More information about modification etc can befound here:

http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P08318

I can confirm that we did not analysethe extinction coefficient ofCytomegalovirus pp150. I suggest a literature search.

I am sorry I could not answer your questions completely on this occasion and hope this information is nevertheless helpful.
