    HSV2 is a member of the herpes virus family, Herpesviridae. All herpes viruses are morphologically identical. They have a large double stranded DNA genome. The virion consists of an icosahedral nucleocapsid which is surrounded by a lipid bilayer envelope. Between the capsid and the envelope is an amorphous layer of proteins, termed the tegument. Glycoprotein G (gG) is one of seven envelope glycoproteins in HSV2.

The reference numbers ab67739, ab43047 and ab67703 given by your customer are not monoclonal antibodies but are the proteins. Can you check with them that this is indeed what they want?

Please let your customer know that we are not specialized in this particular field but I am happy to recommend antibodies.

We have ab6511 which is an anti-HSV1 gG Envelope Protein antibody [7F5] (https://www.abcam.com/6511).

We have several anti-HSV2 gG antibodies which I could also suggest.

Regarding an anti-HSV1 gC, we do have an Anti-HSV1 gC Envelope Protein antibody [3G9], ab6509 (https://www.abcam.com/ab6509) which detects a band at 95 kDa.

As for the molecular weights, they are not on the datasheets and I do not have images to refer to for all of these antibodies. Could you ask your customer where he got his predicted molecular weights from because I have had a thorough look and can only find lower molecular weight around 50 kDa for these proteins?
