Question (62560) | Recombinant Human CARHSP1 protein (ab116535)

Go to datasheet (ab116535)

Thank you for answering my question. I actually have a question about product ab116535 now. This HA-tagged protein seems
ideal for what we need, but I was wondering what conditions it needs for electrophoresis. Is it suitable to run it with
non-reducing conditions?
Also, I read in the reviews of it that there had been some issues with the protein degrading that resulted in 3 bands.
Has there been a new batch since this that fixed the problem, or is that still an issue?

Thank you for your reply. I will be helping you while Carolyn is out of the office.

I would imagine that you could run non-reducing conditions, though we haven't specifically tested this. If you're going to be detecing the protein with an antibody, it will depend on the binding of the antibody.

We haven't heard any other complaints of multiple bands while using this protein, but care should be taken to minimize any degradation possibilities.

I hope this information helps. Please contact us with any other questions.
