  • Reconstitution
    It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized protein in sterile deionized water to a final concentration of 1mg/ml. Solubilize for 30 to 60 minutes at room temperature with occasional gentle mixing. Carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) is strongly recommended for further dilution and long term storage.

    Defects in MS4A1 are the cause of immunodeficiency common variable type 5 (CVID5) [MIM:613495]; also called antibody deficiency due to CD20 defect. CVID5 is a primary immunodeficiency characterized by antibody deficiency, hypogammaglobulinemia, recurrent bacterial infections and an inability to mount an antibody response to antigen. The defect results from a failure of B-cell differentiation and impaired secretion of immunoglobulins; the numbers of circulating B cells is usually in the normal range, but can be low.

Tried this molecule as it contains the Rituxan binding epitope sequence and also that it is advertised as binding Rituxan in ELISA based format. Using a Biacore 8K system the protein was tested as both the analyte and via affinity capture using its Histag (it captures well). Unfortunately, in both orientations Rituxan did not bind the epitope despite multiple concentration series being assessed. Therefore, doesn't appear to work with SPR.
