We have no record of the estrogen receptor alpha (ab82606) and progesterone receptor (ab75958) proteins being used in the assays you have described. The estrogen receptor alpha (ab82606) protein is the full length recombinant protein expressed in a baculovirus system. Although we have not tested it in any functional assays as yet, and we have no reports of our customers having done so either, it may be that the protein is compatible with ligand binding assays but I would not be able to guarantee this.

I think the Progesterone Receptor (ab75958) protein is less likely to work in your assays. This is because the product is a truncation of the Progesterone Receptor (residues 412-562, SwissProt reference P06401). This region does not include the purportedsteroid binding region (residues 681-933). I would therefore not expect the protein to be useful in your assays.
