Question

As per our phone conversation,
Here is the Glutamine Synthetase protein WB. Do you have a different lot to send me to test. I am looking for something I can use for an ELISA Standard. The sample is reduced. Multiple higher MW bands than expected. Please explain.

Answer

Thank you again for letting us know about the trouble with this protein, and for your patience while the lab has worked to determine the cause of this problem. I apologize for the delay in resolving this.

The protein has been re-tested (please see gel image attached) and there are some very faint bands seen at higher molecular weights but they are not as intense as those in your image. We are not sure of the identities of these bands at this time. It is possible that a band around 100 kDa is a dimer of the protein, but it could also be an impurity. I am sorry but we only have the same lot in stock that you've previously used. Would you be interested in trying a new vial, in case this is an isolated problem? Alternatively we can issue a credit or refund for your purchase.

Please let me know if you would prefer a replacement, credit, or refund, and I'll arrange it promptly. If there is anything else that we can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask.
