Hello: We recently purchased the product listed above (recom isocitrate dehydrogenase) and the protein is only about 50% pure. We are usually extremely happy with both your products and customer service (you very nicely solved a problem we had with the also purchased IDH assay kit) but I feel that 50% purity is a little on the low side. I certainly would not expect 100% and even the >95% quoted on the website would be tough to obtain. See attached gel, the lower band is IDH at correct MW (these are not degradation products, single contaminant band at a higher MW on a denaturing gel). Is there anyway to get higher purity on this protein?

Thank you for your inquiry. I am sorry to hear about the purity problem with ab113858.
Do you think you could resend the gel image? Unfortunately it didn't go through. Usually .jpg, .ppt, .doc, or .pdf transfer well.
Can you tell me more about the gel conditions?
How was the protein stored?
Thank you for sending this extra information. I will have to go back to the supplying laboratory and ask for their input since this is the first we've heard about purity concerns with this product and I want to make sure we have as many details. I look forward to your reply.
