Stability and Storage
Shipped at 4°C. Store at -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein on reconstitution (0.1% HSA or BSA). Reconstitute for long term storage.
This product is an active protein and may elicit a biological response in vivo, handle with caution.
ReconstitutionCentrifuge vial before opening. When reconstituting the product, gently pipet and wash down the sides of the vial to ensure full recovery of the protein into solution. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized product with sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 mg/mL, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions.

FunctionThe insulin-like growth factors, isolated from plasma, are structurally and functionally related to insulin but have a much higher growth-promoting activity. May be a physiological regulator of [1-14C]-2-deoxy-D-glucose (2DG) transport and glycogen synthesis in osteoblasts.
