Preparation and Storage

  • Stability and Storage

Shipped at 4°C. Store at 4°C prior to reconstitution. Store at -80°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein on reconstitution (0.1% HSA or BSA).

    pH: 7.50
Constituents: Tris, Glycine, L-Arginine, Sodium chloride

  • Reconstitution
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized protein in 200 µL sterile deionized water to a final concentration of 1 mg/mL. Solubilize for 30 to 60 minutes at room temperature with occasional gentle mixing. After reconstitution store under sterile conditions for 3 months (-70oC). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Function

Receptor for interleukin 18 (IL-18). Binding to the agonist leads to the activation of NF-kappa-B.
  • Tissue specificity

Expressed in lung, leukocytes, spleen, liver, thymus, prostate, small intestine, colon, placenta, and heart, and is absent from brain, skeletal muscle, pancreas, and kidney. High level of expression in Hodgkin disease cell lines.
  • Sequence similarities

Belongs to the interleukin-1 receptor family.
    Contains 3 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains.
    Contains 1 TIR domain.
  • Cellular localization

    Membrane.
  • Information by UniProt
