Preparation and Storage
Stability and Storage
Shipped at 4°C. Store at 4°C prior to reconstitution. Store at -80°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein on reconstitution (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please see notes section.
Constituents: 0.58% Sodium chloride, 0.41% Sodium acetate
5-10% trehalose is commonly used for freeze drying, and after reconstitution, the trehalose is mostly about 3-5%.
ab191680 was lyophilized from 0.22 µm filtered solution.
This product is an active protein and may elicit a biological response in vivo, handle with caution.
ReconstitutionReconstitute with sterile deionized water to a concentration of 200 µg/ml.
- Group IB phospholipase A2
- Group IB secretory phospholipase A2
FunctionPA2 catalyzes the calcium-dependent hydrolysis of the 2-acyl groups in 3-sn-phosphoglycerides.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the phospholipase A2 family.
