  • Function

Probable transcription factor. May play a role in myeloid maturation and in the development and/or maintenance of other differentiated tissues. Probable substrate-recognition component of an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins.
  • Tissue specificity

Within the hematopoietic system, PLZF is expressed in bone marrow, early myeloid cell lines and peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Also expressed in the ovary, and at lower levels, in the kidney and lung.
  • Pathway

    Protein modification; protein ubiquitination.
  • Involvement in disease

Skeletal defects, genital hypoplasia, and mental retardation
A chromosomal aberration involving ZBTB16 may be a cause of acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). Translocation t(11;17)(q32;q21) with RARA.
  • Sequence similarities

Belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family.
    Contains 1 BTB (POZ) domain.
    Contains 9 C2H2-type zinc fingers.
  • Cellular localization

    Nucleus.

Customer reviews and Q&As

Answer

Thank you for your reply.

I am sorry I am not an expert in this area, but have found some information that I hope would be useful to you.

The Antibody & Beyond websitesite provides a good list of markers for many cell types. I have coped below a link to their page which contains a list of granulosa cell markers:

http://www.antibodybeyond.com/reviews/cell-markers/granulosa-cell-marker.htm

From this, I notice that there are several proteins, including Inhibin, which can be used as a granulosa marker. From what I have read, Inhibin is expressed in the granulosa cells of the ovary. However,I can suggest it would be important consider a further literature search in order to confirm this and to obtain more information before you make a decision.

We have the followingInhibin antibodies, tested in immunocytochemistry (ICC). I can recommend to reveiw the online datasheets for further details, and ensure to select one tested in the species you will be using.

ab47720 Inhibin alpha antibody [4A2F2]
