Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab9960 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

  • Biological activity

Assay1:Determined by its ability to induce apoptotic cell death in TRAIL-sensitive U343MG cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is 1.0-3.0 ng/ml.

Assay2:Measured by its ability to induce apoptosis in LN-18 cells (human glioblastoma cells). The expected ED50 for this effect is 0.8 - 2.0 ng/ml.

  • Applications

    Functional Studies

    SDS-PAGE

  • Form
    Lyophilised
  • Additional notes
The ED50 was determined by its ability to induce apoptotic cell death in TRAIL-sensitive U343MG cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is 1.0-3.0 ng/ml.

Preparation and Storage

  • Stability and Storage

Shipped at 4°C. Store at +4°C short term (1-2 weeks). Upon delivery aliquot. Store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle.

    n/a

This product is an active protein and may elicit a biological response in vivo, handle with caution.

  • Reconstitution
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in 100ul water to a concentration of 0.5 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use. Please note that if you receive this product in liquid form it has already been reconstituted as described and no further reconstitution is necessary.

  • Function
Cytokine that binds to TNFRSF10A/TRAILR1, TNFRSF10B/TRAILR2, TNFRSF10C/TRAILR3, TNFRSF10D/TRAILR4 and possibly also to TNFRSF11B/OPG. Induces apoptosis. Its activity may be modulated by binding to the decoy receptors TNFRSF10C/TRAILR3, TNFRSF10D/TRAILR4 and TNFRSF11B/OPG that cannot induce apoptosis.
  • Tissue specificity
Widespread; most predominant in spleen, lung and prostate.
  • Sequence similarities
Belongs to the tumor necrosis factor family.
  • Cellular localization
    Membrane.

Question
Answer

Thank you for contacting us.

Are you refering to the mouse protein Dr5or rather a mouse antibody to Dr5?

Both has not been tested with this protein, unfortunately, thus we do not have any data. The TRAIL protein was used to raise an antibody (ab9959) as well as used in SDS-PAGE and Functional studies.

I'm sorry to not have more information in this regard.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.

Answer

Thank you for your enquiry. I apologize for the delay, but I have the information you were looking for. Reconstitution Notes: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.5-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use. I have updated the datasheet with this information if you need to refer to it in the future. I hope this information helps. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need anything further.
