Relevance
TSSK6 is a serine/threonine protein kinase that is required for postmeiotic chromatin remodeling and male fertility. It plays a role in DNA condensation during the postmeiotic chromatin remodeling. TSSK6 has protein kinase activity against myelin basic protein (MBP), as well as autophosphorylation activity. Interacts with the heatshock proteins HSPCB, HSPA8 and HAPA1A. These interactions appear to be required for TSSK6 kinase activity. -
