this protein worked fine for the differentiation of mouse bone marrow-derived macrophage cells with lentivirus transduction. we checked its purity via SDS-PAGE as well prior to the experiment, QC was good.

We used this rGM-CSF in cell culture to differentiate murine bone marrow cells into bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs), and we had a much better yield than when using a competitor's product. In addition, after selection by magnetic beads (negative selection for F4/80, then positive selection for CD11c), we had >90% purity of BMDCs using this rGM-CSF for culture. Finally, using the cells generated from this rGM-CSF, we saw significant anti-fungal activity of these BMDCs in vitro against Cryptococcus neoformans.
