Target

    Retinoic acid early-inducible protein 1-gamma (Raet1c) belongs to the RAE-1 family of NKG2D ligands. They are induced by retinoic acid and expressed predominantly in embryonic brain during early embryogenesis. Detected at high levels in 7, 11 and 14-day-old embryos but not in 18-day-old embryos. Very low levels are detected in adults, however the presence of retinoic acid or certain disease conditions (such as tumors) can induce up-regulation of this protein at the cell surface.
