Additional Notes
I'm rating this antibody inconclusive, because retinoic acid receptor beta is meant to have nuclear expression. However, here it shows cytoplasmic expression in the marmoset testis. Either this protein has cytoplasmic expression in marmoset testis or the ab is detecting a different protein in marmoset, but this still needs to be confirmed.
Abcam response
Thank you for sharing this data with us. We predict that ab124701 should detect marmoset Retinoic Acid Receptor beta, because the immunogen sequence shows 100% homology with the marmoset sequence for this protein. However, we have not previously tested this antibody on marmoset, and we had also expected this protein to show a nuclear expression pattern in testis. Abcam would welcome feedback from other customers using this antibody.
