Product nameRiboflavin-5-phosphate sodium salt dihydrate, Enzyme cofactor
- Flavin mononucleotide sodium salt dihydrate
- FMN dihydrate
- FMN Na-dihydrate
Enzyme cofactor used as a prosthetic group by oxidoreductase (one and two electron transfer) enzymes such as NADH dehydrogenase, nitric oxide synthase, and nitrilotriacetate monooxygenase. Also used as a substrate to study the specificity and kinetics of FMN phosphohydrolases and to study molecular sensing based gene regulation by riboswitches. Can be used as a photoinitiator of polymerization for PAGE gels.
Storage instructionsStore at -20°C. Store under desiccating conditions. The product can be stored for up to 12 months.
Solubility overviewSoluble in water to 75 mM
