Is there any reason you did not indicate the following mAb is a Phospho-Ser5 antibody: Anti-RNA polymerase II CTD repeat YSPTSPS antibody [4H8] - ChIP Grade (ab5408)?

Here is the explanation I have received from the lab: ELISA and peptide blocking have shown that the specificity of this antibody ab5408 for different phospho forms varies between batches, showing a preference for S5, but is still a general RNA POL II antibody - which is why S5 it hasn’t been added to the target name of the antibody. Basically the results we obtain are not always consistently specific for S5. I hope this information is helpful to you.
