RelevanceRibosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. RPL27 is a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 60S subunit. It belongs to the L27E family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersed through the genome.

RPL27/RPL27A was immunoprecipitated from HEK-293T (human epithelial cell line from embryonic kidney transformed with large T antigen) whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) using ab241409 at 6 µg per reaction. Western blot was performed on the immunoprecipitate usign ab241409 at 1 µg/mL.
Lane 1: ab241409 IP in HEK-293T whole cell lysate.
Lane 2: Control IgG IP in HEK-239T whole cell lysate.
Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.
All lanes : Anti-RPL27/RPL27A antibody (ab241409) at 0.1 µg/ml
Lane 1 : HeLa (human epithelial cell line from cervix adenocarcinoma) whole cell lysate
