Enzyme conjugated secondary antibodies

Secondary antibodies conjugated to enzymes such as HRP and AP are ideal for ELISA and immunohistochemistry.

There  are two main types of enzymes which are more commonly conjugated to secondary antibodies, namely:

• Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) - is a 44kDa glycoprotein enzyme label, which can be visualized by chromogenic reactions; for example diaminobenzidine (DAB), and TMB.
• Alkaline Phosphatase (AP) is a hydrolyase enzyme and its signal is often measured through its colorimetric substrate PNPP.

Secondary antibodies conjugated to enzymes such as HRP or AP are ideal for immuno experiments such as ELISA and immunohistochemistry.
