The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Use at an assay dependent concentration.
See attached protocol.
Shigella is a non-motile gram-negative bacillus belonging to the Enterobactericeae family. The organisms taken in orally invade the epithelial cells of the larger intestine. This causes shigellosis with (mucous and bloody) diarrhea, fever and abdominal pain. Shigella is classified into four species by the serological properties of the somatic antigens (O antigens) and biochemical properties; S.dysenteriae (subgroup A), S.flexneri (subgroup B), S.boydii (subgroup C) and S.sonnei (subgroup D). S.flexneri is classified into 6 serotypes and 13 subtypes by antigen type and group.
