|IHC-P||Use a concentration of 3.75 µg/ml. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.|
|WB||Use at an assay dependent concentration. Predicted molecular weight: 46 kDa. Preliminary experiments gave an approx 35kDa and 150kDa band in HeLa lysates after 2 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the calculated size of 46.4kDa according to NP_659498.3. Both bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.|
FunctionComponent of the SKA1 complex, a microtubule-binding subcomplex of the outer kinetochore that is essential for proper chromosome segregation. The SKA1 complex is a direct component of the kinetochore-microtubule interface and directly associates with microtubules as oligomeric assemblies. The complex facilitates the processive movement of microspheres along a microtubule in a depolymerization-coupled manner. In the complex, it mediates the microtubule-stimulated oligomerization.
