Specificityab97689 detects endogenous levels of Smad1 only when phosphorylated at serine 465. The region surrounding Smad1 phospho S465 is highly conserved in several other Smad proteins, including Smad 5 and Smad 9. Cross reactivity with other Smad proteins is likely.
