Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have requested that our online datasheet be updated with the correct lysate information. Also, the lab did indicate that no further clearing of the uterine lysate was performed. This antibody was very clean in this particular sample. Regarding a replacement, I can send out another vial from a different lot or offer a different antibody. Unfortunately, I was unable to find another SNAI3 antibody in our catalog. Is there another antibody you might be interested in receiving? I look forward to your reply so that I may assist you further.

Thank you for your phone call regarding ab10504. I have contacted the laboratory regarding WB with his antibody. Regarding our image, there are two bands on the western blot shown on the datasheet. A light band at ~32kD and a darker band at ~42kD that is presumed to be a non-specific band. ~30ug of mouse uterus lysate was run for this western blot. We have not run thymus lysates, but have found the mouse uterus lysate to be very clean and show few background bands. As for suggestions, I can suggest loading more protein on the gel could help and being sure that the samples are sufficiently reduced. A purified protein as a positive control would be ideal, however, working with minigels shouldn't be a problem and I see no need to switch to a larger gel. If anything, running a higher percentage gel to improve the resolution of the bands would be useful. If you would prefer, I'd be happy to offer a replacement or a credit rather than continue to troubleshoot with this antibody. Please let me know which you would prefer.
