WB Use a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 56 kDa. Good results were obtained when blocked with 5% non-fat dry milk in 0.05% PBS-T.

    Functions as a sodium-dependent amino acid transporter. Mediates the saturable, pH-sensitive and electrogenic cotransport of neutral amino acids and sodium ions with a stoichiometry of 1:1. May function in the transport of amino acids at the blood-brain barrier and in the supply of maternal nutrients to the fetus through the placenta.

    Ubiquitously expressed. Widely expressed in the central nervous system with higher concentrations in caudal regions. Expressed by glutamatergic and GABAergic neurons together with astrocytes and other non-neuronal cells in the cerebral cortex (at protein level).

ab90677 have been tested with both mouse and western blot, so you will be covered by our Abpromise guarantee. If you do not obtain good results first time, some optimization may be required. I would suggest blocking with 5% non-fat dry milk in the first instance.

Please be aware that we do not optimise our results when we test our antibodies: we either see the predicted band, or we don't. In addition, the predicted band must be at clearly distinguishable from other side bands, meaning, and at least as strong as the side bands. This is the case with the image we have on the datasheet, in which the predicted band size of 56 kDa can clearly be found.

Unfortunately, we have not analysed what the prominent double band around 35/38 kDa could be.
