FunctionActs as a component of the essential kinetochore-associated NDC80 complex, which is required for chromosome segregation and spindle checkpoint activity. Required for kinetochore integrity and the organization of stable microtubule binding sites in the outer plate of the kinetochore.

ab169786 staining SPC24 in the HeLa cell line from Human cervical cancer by ICC/IF (Immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence). Cells were fixed with methanol. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/200 in PBS) for 16 hours at 22°C. ab150081 an Alexa Fluor®488-conjugated Goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L polyclonal(1/200) was used as the secondary antibody. Nuclei were stained with DAPI
Detection of SPC24 by Western Blot of Immunprecipitate. 293 cell lysate (1) or 1X PBS (2) immunoprecipitated using ab169786 at 1/10 dilution; HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG preferentially detecting the non-reduced form of rabbit IgG.
