    This antibody has been tested by Western blot against cell lysates. We believe that Sprouty 4 is represented by the doublet at ~ 35kDa. We believe that this protein may require IP before Western blotting, corresponding to results seen in Sasaki et al. We have not yet succeeded in peptide blocking the bands detected with this antibody.

    Thank you for your enquiry. Ab7513 is a Fast-Track antibody and has not yet been fully characterized. Fast-Track antibodies are immunogen affinity purified and are shown by ELISA to have high titre values against their immunogen. We are currently testing them for use in Western blotting. At this stage, there can be delays. We sometimes experience problems in searching for / developing the correct lysate or knock-out cell-line. In addition, certain products can be difficult to characterise, due, for instance, to low expression levels or a lack of expression in easily available lysates. For more details regarding this, please see the Fast-Track terms of use located on the online datasheet. So for ab7513, it has been tested by Western blot against cell lysates (Hela, Jurkat, 293, and A431). The predicted molecular weight for this protein is 32.5kD. We believe that CTCF is one of the bands seen between 25 and 37kD in the blot seen on the datasheet. We believe that this protein may require IP before Western blotting, corresponding to results seen in Sasaki et al. We have not yet succeeded in peptide blocking the bands detected with this antibody. As stated on the datasheet, this represents inconclusive preliminary data.
