Question
Answer

For staining formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue with the ST2 antibody ab25877, we recommend a heat-mediated antigen retrieval with 10mM sodium citrate, pH 5.5, at 95-100C. The optimal time of incubation will need to be determined for your samples but 20 minutes is typically sufficient.

Answer

Answer

Answer

Thank you for contacting us and your interest in our products.

We only have one antibody which has been tested (and would be covered by the Abpromise guarantee) for IHC. This is the rabbit polyclonal https://www.abcam.com/ST2-antibody-ab25877.html. This has been raised against an immunogen taken from the mouse protein. We have not tested this antibody with the human protein. However, the immunogen used shares 81% homology with the human protein. It is therefore possible that the antibody may be able to detect the human protein however, we would not be able to guarantee this.

Alternatively we have an antibody which has been used to detect the mouse and human protein in western blotting but we have not used it in IHC. This is the rabbit polyclonalhttps://www.abcam.com/ST2-antibody-ab72778.html. Again, as we have not tested this ourselves in IHC-P we cannot guarantee that it would work.

If you wanted to purchase either of these antibodies I would be able to offer you a testing discount. This offer means that if you test either ab25877 or ab72778in IHC staining with human samples and share the results with us through an Abreview (no matter whether positive or negative) you would be eligible for a free primary antibody of your choice from our catalogue (or the equivalent price off any product in our catalogue). More information on this offer can be found here:

https://www.abcam.com/collaboratordiscount

The only constraint to this offer is that the antibody to be tested must be purchased, tested, the Abreview submitted and the free primary antibody claimed within a 4 month period.

Both ab25877 and ab72778is provided at a price of €370 for 100 ug with a shipping cost of €21 to Germany.

I hope this information has been of help. If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to call.
