Function
Plasma membrane t-SNARE that mediates docking of transport vesicles. Necessary for the translocation of SLC2A4 from intracellular vesicles to the plasma membrane. Together with STXB3 and VAMP2, may also play a role in docking/fusion of intracellular GLUT4-containing vesicles with the cell surface in adipocytes (By similarity). May also play a role in docking of synaptic vesicles at presynaptic active zones. -

Expressed in neutrophils and neutrophil-differentiated HL-60 cells. Expression in neutrophils increases with differentiation. -

Lanes 1 - 4: Merged signal (red and green). Green - ab184545 observed at 1X kDa. Red - loading control, ab18058, observed at 124 kDa.
ab184545 was shown to recognize Syntaxin 4 when Syntaxin 4 knockout samples were used, along with additional cross-reactive bands. Wild-type and Syntaxin 4 knockout samples were subjected to SDS-PAGE. ab184545 and ab18058 (loading control to Vinculin) were diluted 1/1000 and 1/10,000 respectively and incubated overnight at 4°C. Blots were developed with Goat anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (IRDye® 800CW) preadsorbed ab216773 and Goat anti-Mouse IgG H&L (IRDye® 680RD) preadsorbed ab216776 secondary antibodies at 1/10,000 dilution for 1 hour at room temperature before imaging.This data was developed using the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation containing PBS, BSA, glycerol and sodium azide (ab184545).
