Target

  • Function

    Transcription factor TFIID is one of the general factors required for accurate and regulated initiation by RNA polymerase II. TFIID is a multimeric protein complex that plays a central role in mediating promoter responses to various activators and repressors. Required in complex with TBPL2 for the differentiation of myoblasts into myocytes. The complex replaces TFIID at specific promoters at an early stage in the differentiation process.

  • Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence analysis of HeLa (human cervix adenocarcinoma) labelling TAF3 with purified ab188332 at 1/500. Cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100. An Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (1/1000) was used as the secondary antibody (Ab150077).   • Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde-fixed HeLa cells, labeling TAF3 (green) with ab188332 at 1/100 dilution. Alexa Fluor®488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as a secondary antibody at 1/200 dilution. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue).
