Submitted composite image shows Frontal cortex of transgenic Tau/APP mouse brain( upper image 1/5000) and wt mouse colon( lower image 1/1000). No NFTs are seen despite the fact that there are multiple amyloid plaques and many NFTs seen when using another antibody ( see mouse abreview for ab109390). In brain this antibody appears to be immunostaining all Tau protein. This seems to be supported by the results on colon. The section is not counterstained so the smallest fibres can be seen in the mucosa ( M) and elsewhere. Arrowheads indicate positive neuronal cell bodies of Auerbach's (red) and Meissner's ( black) plexuses. Many nerve fibres throughout the colon are positive.
