  • Handling

    Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20°C. Generally, these will be useable for up to one month. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 1 hour.

As we do not conduct our own research, and are not aware of the exact experimental protocol you are attempting, it is difficult to provide a definitive answer to this query. However, I have some broad suggestions which I hope may be some use.



It may be that a more dilute stock solution, i.e. using more DMSO to solubilise the Temsirolimus, may help to prevent re-precipitation. Another option may be to try an alternative solvent to DMSO – the product is soluble in ethanol to 100 mM.



Following a review of the recent literature, it would appear that some researchers maintain cells in growth media prior to the addition of Temsirolimus in DMSO; perhaps it is possible that you could adopt a similar methodology?
