  • Target

    • Relevance

CD90 (Thy1) antigen is a GPI linked glycoprotein member of the Immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed on murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, cells of granulocytic lineage, early hematopoietic progenitors, fibroblasts, neurons and Kupffer's cells. Thy1 may play a role in cell to cell or cell to ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other events in the brain. It is found in most mouse strains except AKR/J, A, Thy1.1 and B6.PL (74NS) expressing Thy1.1.
    • Cellular localization

Attached to the membrane by a GPI anchor.

    Question
    Answer

    Thank you for contacting us.

The antibody ab85352 showsno cross-reactivity with Thy1.2. The specificity is tested by staining followed by flow cytometry on several Thy1.1 and Thy1.2 positive cell lines. I hope this helps, please let me know if you need any additional information or assistance.

    Question
    Answer

Thanks for your call earlier this week and for your patience. I have heard back from the production lab, and the LN-T cells used as the immunogen for ab85352 were isolated from the mouse strain PL. The antibody's specificity was tested in flow cytometry on several Thy1.1 and Thy1.2 positive cell lines. It was found that the antibody does not cross-react with Thy1.2 positive cell lines. I hope this information is helpful, but please let me know if you have any further questions and I will be happy to help.
