Inquiry: Dear Sirs, I´m searching for a biotinylated anti-mouse mAB against the membrane form of TNF-a, rather not the solulable form of TNF-a. Is the above mentioned product right for this? Or is there a better biotinylated mAb against membrane TNF-a? Thanks alot for your support.

Thank you for your enquiry.
I am sorry to confirm that most of our TNF alpha antibodies, including ab17611, have an epitope within the soluble region of the protein.
I have found one antibody, tested in mouse, that has an immunogen within the membrane region only. As far as I am aware, the soluble form is from amino acids 80-235. This antibody has an immunogen within the first 50 amino acids of the protein so should detect membrane bound TNF alpha only. This region is cytoplasmic.
TNF alpha antibody (ab66579)
Tested in: IHC-Fr, WB, IHC-P

I am sorry this is not biotinylated. However, we do have some Easylink conjugation kits available including some for biotinylation of primary antibodies. I can recommend to review the details on the online datasheet:
ab102864 Biotin conjugation kit
https://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=102864 (or use the following: https://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=102864).
Because of the high percentage of BSA in the ab66579 antibody, I can recommend to also consider using our Concentration and Purification Kits (https://www.abcam.com/antibody-concentration-kit-3-columns-ab102778.html or https://www.abcam.com/antibody-purification-kit-3-purifications-ab102784.html) before conjugation to ensure the conjugation will work.
I hope this will be helpful to you. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
